According to the Observatory of the Francophone World, 85% of French speakers will reside in Africa by 2060. West Africa, where literary creation is thriving, represents a major future for Francophone literature. Yet, no local media currently covers the literary news of this region with a focus on developing a regional readership and fostering international dissemination.<\/p>\n
In partnership with the association Point de Lecture<\/strong> (C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire), and with the support of the Centre National du Livre<\/strong>, the French Embassy in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire<\/strong>, and the Institut Fran\u00e7ais<\/strong>, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Arts Vivants is supporting the co-creation of a digital literary media outlet based in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n Designed for young people (with 75% of the population under the age of 35), this media platform will offer an innovative transmedia experience \u2014 video capsules, mini-documentaries, reviews, short formats \u2014 and will be fully deployed on social networks, to help build today the readership of tomorrow.<\/p>\n The initial phase includes designing the website and its mobile version, training future contributors, engaging local book industry stakeholders, as well as communication and promotional actions.
