{"id":799,"date":"2024-04-10T09:53:27","date_gmt":"2024-04-10T09:53:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theatredesartsvivants.com\/kanga-nianze\/"},"modified":"2025-07-14T19:17:50","modified_gmt":"2025-07-14T19:17:50","slug":"kanga-nianze","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theatredesartsvivants.com\/en\/kanga-nianze\/","title":{"rendered":"Kanga Nianz\u00e9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"288\"><strong data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"288\">The Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Arts Vivants supported the Ivorian contemporary dance company \"Les Pieds Dans La Mare,\" led by Jenny Mezile, in their desire to create a performance on the theme of slavery in C\u00f4te d'Ivoire\u2014a crucial, yet still underexplored, aspect of collective memory in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"290\" data-end=\"510\"><strong data-start=\"290\" data-end=\"510\">To achieve this, we helped Les Pieds Dans La Mare design and prepare a traveling residency program that combined research, creation, and action, which was carried out in 2023 along the \"Slave Route\" in C\u00f4te d'Ivoire.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"512\" data-end=\"867\"><strong data-start=\"512\" data-end=\"867\">The overarching objective of this project was to highlight the memorial sites along this route, collect testimonies, and offer artistic activities for local communities.
